Change Your Nameservers In Bluehost
Note: The feature of changing nameservers is only available IF the domain you’d like to change the name server is brought through Bluehost.
STEP 1: Open a browser and go to the URL of your Bluehost‘s cPanel login page.
STEP 2 : Upon successfully logging into the cPanel of your Bluehost account it should redirect the page to the cPanel dashboard. From there look for the “Domain Manager” from a section of Domains. Once you found it click on it.
STEP 3: You should be redirected to another page which looks the image below. Look for the domain list from the newly loaded page which should be found on the bottom left of the page.
From the list of domains choose the one that you would like to change the name server and select the checkbox beside it.
STEP 4: After selecting the check box of the desired domain that you’d like to change the name server of. After that look at the right of the list and you should be able to find multiple tabs related to the domain you have selected and from there find the “Nameservers” tab and click on it.
STEP 5: Since you are changing the nameservers from the new tab of “nameservers” you should find two radio buttons in which the first one indicates “Use Default Nameservers” and the second one indicates “Use Custom Nameservers”. In this case since you are changing nameservers select the second option.
STEP 6: Supply the following text field with the desired nameservers that you’d want to change. And as you can see, Bluehost will automatically generate a IP address below which you can leave it just as it is unless you want to point your nameservers to another IP address.
STEP 7: After you filled up the text fields above click on the “save nameserver settings” button if you think the changes you made are final. And there you have it you managed to finally change your name servers.
Though please keep in mind that you have to wait for 24 hrs up to 72 hrs before your changes to the name server takes effect. So you may not see the result as quickly as you thought. Regardless this is how you change the nameservers.
