Bluehost has an extension branch called Bluehost India. Bluehost India is different from the main Bluehost in a way that it is better for audience from India in particular. Even Bluehost India just like Bluehost is capable of integrating WordPress and as we know WordPress is one of the more popular internet tools that excel in website building and blogging. Since WordPress excels when it comes to blogging, in this article let us learn how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost India.

5 Steps on How to Start the WordPress Blog

STEP 1: Go to the official URL of Bluehost India which is www.bluehost.in and as the page loads look for the “Shared Hosting” tab from the top of the page.

STEP 2: Hover over the “Shared Hosting” tab and you should be able to see “WordPress hosting” option from above and click it.

STEP 3: Once the page loads it should show the payment and packages available under the Shared Hosting tab. You can also switch to “US Hosting” from Indian Hosting from this page if you desire but that is not the point of this article.

From here choose the plan that you’d think that will be appropriate for you. If you are a new to Bluehost India and WordPress though then you should probably just choose “Standard” package since you might unlikely be able to take advantage of the perks that the “Business” and “Pro” plans have so you might as well just pick the cheapest and the one that provides the basics of what you need to be able to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost India.

And as you can see from the top of the page there is the switchable “US Hosting” and India Hosting. Between the two US hosting is a bit cheaper just as shown in the image below if you compare it to the IN Hosting.

However cheaper doesn’t always mean better. If you think that the target audience of the blog you will be making will most likely be from India. Then you should just stick with the “IN Hosting” as it should be better than US Hosting when it comes to Indian audience.

STEP 4: A prompt will show just like the image below which asks you for the option of whether you want the WordPress blog on a new Domain or you already have an existing domain to use. Regardless of your choice select which option you deem fit and then press “Continue to checkout” if you have chosen one.

Follow the payment process of whether you choose a new domain name or you used an old one.  After the payment has been done, let us proceed to the next step.

STEP 5: Login your Bluehost account.

After successfully logging into your Bluehost India account, you should be redirected to the dashboard page of Bluehost India just like the image below.

From the image above you will see the “Jump to Domain” text field and you input the domain that you newly registered or the domain that you already have from step 4. Then press the arrow key next to the text field.

A new panel will load and find the “Manage Web Hosting” and it should redirect you to your cPanel account associated to the Bluehost India account you have.

From the cPanel window click on Softaculous and then afterwards it should show the Softaculous installer tab. Click on WordPress.
