I love the optimizepress soultion offered by Hostgator.

The benefits far outweigh the negatives with faster load times, free backups, malware scans etc…

The cheapest plan of most managed WordPress hosting providers is hosted on a shared server like any ordinary hosting plan. Just learn how to speed up your WordPress blog. There are lot of reading materials in the Internet. Unless a managed WordPress is hosted in a VPS server, I will stick to the cheap traditional web hosting. I will do the updating, maintaining and backup my self.

Great write up.

Even I was skeptical before while paying for my Managed WordPress hosting with WPOven, but for me it was well worth it when my site my infected with the soaksoak malware back in December. The support team was dedicated and took care of everything and I continued on with my work and didn’t have to stress about my client’s site. Another time I mistakenly deleted a bunch on images, but I was able to recover the site from the last day’s backup.

I’d love to read some more hosting comparison articles, specially Managed WordPress hosting which provide VPS.
